They had all kinds of toys for the kids to play it. It was so nice to have him occupied. he didn't start to get cranky until about 12:00. Of course they were behind. Dr. O came out and talked to me at 12:30 he explained everything that would happen and if I had any questions. Then the anesthesiologist came out and talked to me about what he was going to do and if I had any questions for him. We then walked out to the doors of the OR and he took him off through the doors. So I didn't get to see anything which I am sure was a good thing but I was kinda interested to see them put him out. And I wouldn't have minded watching the surgery either because I like that stuff.
So he was off to surgery at 12:45 and I didn't get to see him again until 3:45. I was able to go get some lunch and then watched some TV in the waiting room. I really didn't have a problem with him being in surgery I knew he was going to be just fine. He did take a little bit longer to wake up but as soon as he did I was able to go back and see him. He was so cute. He had an IV in his foot, BP cuff in his calf and an O2 sat on his big toe. I was then able to hold him. I loved it, he was so cuddly. He chugged two bottles of apply juice and his vitals were great so we were about to go home at 4:45. He slept the whole way home. Once we got home is was a little cranky but gave him some pain meds and feed him. He then did pretty good and started crawling around. Today he is doing better almost back to normal. He is crawling around like normal and eating fine just needs a little more attention and is crabier then normal. So far pretty good and it can just get better. 4-6 weeks until he is completely healed and then a F/U visit. Everyone at Primary's was so nice and Dr.O was wonderfull!
